Description
Almar Zaadstra, an artist who works in oils, has been painting traditional works of art full-time for the past 25 years. His favourite subjects depict Australian history accurately and romantically - early farming practices involving working Clydesdale horses; majestic river red gums; early settler pioneers in full costume of the period - he loves the challenge of painting anything old world.
He lives on top of a hill in the bustling and picturesque Victorian town of Casterton, deriving much of his inspiration from the surrounding undulating countryside. The jigsaws that have been created from these delightful works of art feature a 'Pioneer Family' through four stages of pioneer life and the 'Pioneers at Work' depict the simple everyday working life of rural Australia in the early years. The superb charm of the working horses and other fine detail gives great realism and authenticity fo the images. These jigsaws with such nostalgic and captivating images make beautiful pictures if framed. About the Manufacturer, Crown and Andrews
