Description
Esther Shohet was born in Brisbane, Australia and grew up with a passion for drawing and painting. Originally gaining qualifications in Fashion Design, she travelled to London to pursue her career. With a love for travelling also sparked, Esther moved on to Paris and Japan. Inspired by the silks used in Kimono making, she started to paint on silk using a method very similar to Batik. The vibrant colours and the movement in her pictures evoke a sense of fun and happiness.
After 10 years in Japan, Esther returned to Australia. Tasmania provides the perfect environment for her children as well as endless inspiration with its heritage and natural beauty. About the Manufacturer, Blue Opal
